Barbara Maguire Awarded American College of Clinical Engineering Fellow Member Status

The American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE) has recognized Barbara Maguire as a fellow member.

Barbara Maguire is Vice President of Quality and Geisinger Healthcare Technology Management at ISS Solutions. In his letter of congratulations, Arif Subhan, President of ACCE, acknowledged Barbara’s work of over two decades of service to the clinical engineering profession, citing her time on the ACCE Board, her efforts with the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), and her representation of ACCE at several US Food and Drug Administration workshops about servicing. He thanked her for her work “to ensure that the promise of technology to improve the health of our communities is realized in a safe and effective manner.”

When Barbara’s colleagues were asked about her work, they spoke highly of her:

“I first came to know Barbara when we both joined ISS Solutions in 2011. Over the past eight years, I have enjoyed working with her and have benefitted from her in-depth knowledge of healthcare technology management and regulatory requirements. Our team has come to rely on Barbara as a valued resource for current trends and future insights into our business,” said Frank Rubino, Vice President, ISS Solutions.

“I always appreciate that while Barbara juggles a staff of over 100 professionals with multiple projects and priorities, her approach is that of an engineer who is data-driven, puts quality first, and seeks ways to improve processes,” said Peter Brooks, CEO, ISS Solutions.

Barbara was officially awarded fellow member status in March and received her Fellow Plaque during the ACCE members meeting/reception at AAMI Exchange 2019. Congratulations, Barbara!
