CEO Last fiscal year, which concluded on
June 30, 2005, ISS Solutions posted a significant improvement in operating
performance from the previous few years. We showed improved profitability for
the period. This was achieved through: 1) the ongoing hard work and
dedication of our employees; 2) the
synergy and cost savings realized from putting the people, talent, and assets
of ISS and Condor/CHMC together into the new ISS Solutions.
It is important that we run our business responsibly and
achieve our profitability goals. This provides a return to our stakeholders,
which include Geisinger, our employees, our clients, and the community.
In the
June 2005 issue of Inside ISS, I mentioned one way that our employee
stakeholders participate in the success of the company – through the ISS
QualityPay program. In this issue and the next, you can read about the ways
that our client stakeholders benefit from our attention to the bottom line.
Our
profitability enables us to invest in our employees, and also the tools our
employees need to better serve you. Last fiscal year, we
made significant investments in two pieces of core infrastructure that we use to
deliver our services to you on a daily basis. We invested in upgraded technology
for our contact center, which you can read about in this issue of Inside ISS.
We also invested in software to better organize and run our field
service organization. We will describe this for you in our next issue.
