Langhorne, PA, December 11, 2007—The Service Industry Association (SIA) has announced the election of Peter Brooks to its Board of Directors. Mr. Brooks, a Senior Director at Geisinger Health System and President and CEO of Geisinger’s subsidiary ISS Solutions, brings health care and information technology experience to the 12-person SIA board.

“Peter strongly complements our board,” said SIA Executive Director Claudia Betzner. “As the executive of ISS Solutions, a clinical engineering and information technology service company, he brings a unique viewpoint to SIA, particularly in light of the continuing convergence of IT and clinical engineering in the healthcare industry.”

Prior to joining ISS Solutions, Mr. Brooks established himself as a successful executive leader in engineering, technology, and biotech companies. He held senior positions at Physiome Sciences, Bentley Systems, and ANSYS Inc. Mr. Brooks started his career as an engineer and entrepreneur, forming a successful consulting and technical software company that was later sold to industry leader ANSYS.

Raymond Zambuto, Executive Vice President of the SIA and President of Technology in Medicine says “Peter has solid experience with developing and growing profitable technology companies, and he is a strong champion of service excellence.” Mr. Zambuto and Mr. Brooks met at one of SIA’s quarterly roundtable meetings where C-level officers from the technical service industry are invited to discuss common issues. The SIA also sponsors a national, Executive Summit for Service Leaders annually.
