ISS Solutions Identifies Key Clinical Industry
Trends and Management Alternatives
July 10, 2006
– Recently, ISS Solutions commissioned a survey of
hospitals, health care systems, Group Purchasing
Organizations (GPOs) and Independent Service
Organizations (ISOs) throughout the mid-Atlantic
region. The purpose was to obtain a qualitative
assessment of the issues concerning service delivery
executives supporting Information Technology (IT)
and Clinical Engineering (CE) technologies. The
research results entitled “Healthcare Technology
Support: An Updated View From the Market - 2006”
highlights key concerns such as cost and quality as
well as the challenges being faced by executives as
convergence of CE and IT take place in healthcare.
According to John Stalker, Director of Clinical
Engineering Business Development at ISS Solutions,
convergence is well underway at many health care
organizations. A major segment of the recent AAMI
Conference held in Washington, DC in late June, 2006
was dedicated to this trend, emphasizing the
importance. John also pointed out that ISS Solutions
recognized this trend a numbers of years ago and has
been building both its IT and CE capabilities to
support its clients today and in the future.
