International Shared Services Announces Name Change to
ISS Solutions
Langhorne, PA, January 7, 2005—Today,
officials at International Shared Services (ISS), a
leading provider of customized technology lifecycle
management solutions to healthcare, government,
education, and commercial markets, announced a name
change to ISS Solutions.
In 2003, International Shared
Services, Inc. (ISS) of Plymouth Meeting purchased the
Infrastructure Services Division (formerly known as
Computer Hardware Maintenance Co. or CHMC) of Condor
Technology Solutions, Inc., Baltimore MD. Changing the
company name to ISS Solutions integrates the two
companies’ heritages. While ISS Solutions’ healthcare
technology heritage extends back to 1971, CHMC’s IT
heritage began one short-year later in 1972.
ISS Solutions delivers integrated
business solutions to over 200 clients. Solutions
include: healthcare technology assessment, management,
and maintenance services; information technology
assessment, network design, management, acquisition and
maintenance services; and a 24 x 7 technical contact
center. ISS Solutions is headquartered in Langhorne,
Pennsylvania, and operates in and serves the
mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.
“The technology lifecycle
management market requires customized solutions for each
client,” says Peter Brooks, ISS Solutions CEO. “We
collaborate with our customers to understand their
particular clinical engineering and IT needs, then
propose a solution that meets their needs. We integrate
our technology and people as part of our overall service
solution.”
ISS Solutions is a strategic
affiliate of Geisinger Health System. Geisinger Health
System is a $1.3 billion integrated health care system
that provides more than two million people in 38
counties in Pennsylvania a complete continuum of quality
healthcare. Geisinger acquired ISS Solutions in 1984
and has since grown the company to be over $30 Million
