International
Shared Services (ISS) Acquires Infrastructure Services
Division
Plymouth Meeting,
PA, January 15, 2003—Calling
it "a positive move toward growth and service
excellence," International Shared Services, Inc. (ISS)
of Plymouth Meeting has purchased the Infrastructure
Services Division (formerly known as Computer Hardware
Maintenance Co. or CHMC) of Condor Technology Solutions,
Inc., Baltimore MD.
"During these
challenging economic times when many technology
companies are downsizing or closing, we’re excited about
this opportunity to expand our services," said Joseph
Panas, President & CEO of International Shared Services.
"This acquisition will significantly increase the number
of ISS employees and dramatically expand our geographic
service area."
The acquisition will
enable ISS to expand its computer and clinical
engineering services into Philadelphia and the state of
New Jersey, territories currently serviced by
Infrastructure Services Division.
"Our clients will
benefit from the resources of both technology companies
with expanded services and our ability to leverage more
competitive product pricing," said Panas. "Our goal is
to build long-term relationships with our clients by
helping them achieve their goals in the ever-changing
information technology world."
Infrastructure
Services Division, headquartered in Langhorne, Pa., was
founded in 1972 and was acquired by Condor Technology
Solutions, Inc., a technology and communications company
specializing in the organization, analysis and
distribution of business information, in 1998.
Infrastructure Services Division, currently with 116
employees, specializes in network design, onsite service
and repair, help desk services, and hardware and
software procurement.
ISS, with 140
employees, has been providing computer and clinical
engineering solutions for a broad range of businesses,
industries, schools and health care providers from more
than a dozen satellite offices throughout the
Mid-Atlantic region since 1971. ISS is singularly
devoted to the planning, installation, maintenance and
service of sophisticated high technology equipment.
ISS officials are
implementing a transition plan and expect to retain all
employees at both companies. The acquisition was
coordinated by Acquisition Management Services (AMS) of
King of Prussia.
