Performing Comprehensive X-Ray Machine Inspections

All clinical and technology professionals would agree that X-ray machine inspections must be conducted in an expert manner in order to maintain patient safety and manage costs effectively. However, inspections on such a critical and complex device are very time-consuming and staff intensive. To address some of the challenges surrounding X-ray inspections, panelists in this session will present a recently developed comprehensive testing and PMI program that has been used and field tested by more than 20 clinical engineers. They will outline in detail what data is collected in the program, how it is recorded by clinical and engineering staff, and what test procedures are used in the process to measure X-ray machine performance. Come and learn from this first-hand experience with this preventive maintenance inspection program.
